Paul Walker's Family Seeking $1.8 Million From Estate of Roger Rodas, Driver of Fatal Crash

Paul Walker's family is seeking almost $2 million from the heirs of Roger Rodas, the driver of the car that crashed and killed both Walker and Rodas over one year ago.

Walker's father Paul Walker III, who is acting as the executor of the late actor's estate, filed a claim for more than $1.8 million against Rodas' beneficiaries.

In the legal docs, Walker Sr. claims that Rodas' family "is in possession of numerous automobiles and other motor vehicles that are either wholly or partially owned" by the deceased Fast & Furious star. Walker's estate is seeking the return of the vehicles or any money earned in a sale of such vehicles.

Walker and Rodas died on Nov. 30 when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT they were driving crashed outside of L.A. The cause of the accident was later determined to be speed (they were going between 80 and 93 miles per hour). Walker was 40 years old.

Walker is survived by his teenage daughter, Meadow Walker. Around the anniversary of his passing, Walker's father said "She's doing--I hear from the grapevine--very good in school," he said earlier this month. "She's keeping busy."

He added, "I think she's just a little bit shy around me, grandpa. I think time is on my side and things will get better."

Netflix Pumps Brakes on Will Smith Action Film ‘Fast and Loose’

  Netflix has slowed development on its upcoming action-thriller “Fast and Loose” which Will Smith has been attached to star in. The project has been moved to the streamer’s back burner in the days following the 2022 Oscars ceremony, during which Smith walked onstage and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about the appearance of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. In the week before the Oscars ceremony, director David Leitch reportedly also pulled away from the project, electing to move to the Ryan Gosling vehicle “Fall Guy” for Universal. After beginning to search for a new director, Netflix has now halted “Fast and Loose” in the days following the Oscars.
