Chelsea Clinton, Barack Obama and More Stars Send Best Wishes to Former President George H.W. Bush

Hollywood and Washington D.C. are coming together to share their support for former President George H.W. Bush.

After the 90-year-old was taken to Houston Methodist Hospital Tuesday night, many are taking time out of their busy Christmas Eve to send their best wishes to the former commander in chief.

"Wishing President Bush a safe & speedy recovery," Chelsea Clinton shared on Twitter Wednesday morning. "My thoughts & prayers are with him & all who are sick this holiday season & their families."

President Barack Obama echoed Clinton's statement after being made aware of Bush's condition while on vacation in Hawaii.

"The President has been made aware that President Bush was admitted to the hospital," the White House said in a statement to NBC News. "President Obama and the First Lady send their good wishes to the former President and the entire Bush family during this holiday season."

Bush experienced a shortness of breath Monday evening, which caused his family to take him to the hospital simply as a precaution.

His granddaughter Jenna Bush Hager, who has been serving as a co-host this week on NBC's Today show, was not on-air Wednesday morning.  "We say 'Get well soon Mr. President,'" Matt Lauer shared while updating viewers on Bush's health.

While all signs point to a speedy recovery, many continue to send good thoughts to the politician who has found himself in several health scares in recent years.

"Sending good thoughts & love to @GeorgeHWBush & Barbara from @Shawnieora & me as he spends a night in the hospital," Larry King tweeted to fans. "I cherish our friendship."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bush family. Here's to a quick recovery!
