Jennifer Lawrence Is the Best Cheerleader as She Supports the Louisville Cardinals' Basketball Team
Best cheerleader ever!
Jennifer Lawrence may be one of Hollywood's biggest stars. But the Academy Award winner proved she hasn't forgotten about where she came from when she headed back to her hometown near Louisville, Ky., over the Christmas holiday.
When she wasn't spending time with family or visiting sick kids at a children's hospital, the Hunger Games star headed to the KFC Yum! Center to show her support for the Louisville Cardinals basketball team.
Wearing a University of Louisville T-shirt, the 24-year-old displayed plenty of team spirit when she did the famous C-A-R-D-S cheer and threw up the letter "L" with her fingers.
And when she wasn't clapping and yelling in support of her team, Lawrence munched on delicious pizza like a true sports fan.
This certainly isn't the first time the Oscar winner has displayed her love for the Louisville Cardinals.
Earlier this year, Lawrence was proud to cheer on the Cardinals in the NCAA tournament and even sent a photo of herself decked out in red to the school to get students pumped.
She also loaned her voice to the university in a minute-long video that sings the college's praises in honor of its recent move to the Atlanta Coast Conference.
"I grew up in the Derby City, home to a proud and storied university, filled with rich athletic tradition and packed with fans who are as loyal and passionate as any in college sports," she said in the video. "The 'L' is the sign that connects all of us to one strong and united Card Nation."
So did Lawrence's team win Saturday? Unfortunately, the Kentucky Wildcats beat the Cardinals by eight small points. Better luck next time, J. Law.
