Jessica Alba Shares How She Teaches the Meaning of Beauty to Her Young Daughters, Stuns in Natural Health

Jessica Alba definitely exudes beauty, but teaching about beauty is another ball game.

The famous mother of two daughters revealed that she's taken a slightly different approach than the one she grew up with when it comes to explaining the meaning of beauty to 6-year-old Honor and 3-year-old Haven.

"Growing up, whenever I was bullied, my mom would say, 'You're a beautiful girl. They're just jealous,'" Alba, who looks gorgeous in a blue plunging jumpsuit as she covers the January-February 2015 issue of Natural Health magazine, explained. "It never helped. I want my girls to know that beauty is being kind...beauty is helping people...beauty is humility."

The working mom has also been putting in a lot of time into The Honest Company, which she co-founded with Christopher Gavigan, Sean Kane and Brian Lee, in hopes of having something for her girls to take over in the future.

"I really am building The Honest Company for them," she told Entertainment Tonight's Nischelle Turner. "I'm really hoping that...The Honest Company is some place that they would like to work later, when they're older."

If The Honest Company doesn't end up being for them, the mom of two has other big ideas for her little girls. "If not, I hope they're inspired to be entrepreneurs," she said. "And to really push the envelope on you know what they can do with their life and how they can make an impact."

However, getting in on their mom's company wouldn't be a bad idea. Per industry experts, the company is worth nearly $1 billion as it moves toward an initial public offering, just two years after it's launch, and Alba has no plans on slowing down anytime soon.

"Acting is a priority, but when you're building a company like this, you can't just check out," she tells the mag. "This is life-changing stuff. This is legacy."
