Pregnant Kate Middleton Camouflages Baby Bump With Bold Black Dress--See the Photos!
Pregnant Kate Middleton, aka Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, made another public appearance since being treated for hyperemesis gravidarum, her third in a week. The 32-year-old duchess, who is about three months along and barely showing, and husband Prince William, also 32, are expecting their second child. Their son Prince George, the fourth in line to the U.K. throne, is 15 months old.
Kate was all smiles at the Action on Addiction Autumn Gala in London on Thursday. In 2012, Kate became a patron of the charity, which helps addicts and their families.
The fashionista duchess wore a black, long sleeve, scoop neck, knee-length Temperley London Pre-Fall 2014 Emblem Flare dress, which features slashed panels over a nude slip, crochet detailing and a flared skirt. Her bold outfit retails for about $953 and was "inspired by stained glass ironwork," according to the designer's website. She paired the look with a black beaded clutch and black suede platform pumps.
Kate has worn several Temperley London outfits before. She wore a black lace "Amoret" gown by the British designer at a 2012 premiere of War Horse and sported the same look (gasp!) a year later at a screening of Natural History Museum Alive 3D.
Kate's second pregnancy was announced on Sept. 8, during which it was also revealed she is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a pregnancy complication marked by persistent nausea and vomiting, which can cause dehydration.
As a result of her illness, she had to cancel appearances at several events, including a scheduled official trip to Malta. Her husband visited the country in her place and gave a health update about her. Kate had battled the same condition when she was pregnant with George in late 2012.
She made her first and second public appearance since the latest pregnancy reveal on Tuesday. Wearing a gorgeous gray, plaid Alexander McQueen dress coat, the duchess accompanied William at a London hotel to welcome Tony Tan, the President of Singapore, and his wife, Mary, to the United Kingdom.
Later that day, Kate later attended the 2014 Wildlife Photograph Awards at the Natural History Museum in London. The duchess sported a sky blue Jenny Packham wrap dress and Monica Vinader jewelry.
The British Monarchy announced on Monday that Kate and William's child is due in April. The baby's sex was not revealed.
