Kim Kardashian's White-Blond Hair Already Needs Its First Touch-Up: "It's Hard Out Here From a Platinum Pimp!"

Do blonds really have more fun?

Less than a week after Kim Kardashian dyed her hair platinum blond--and then went even whiter--the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had to hide her roots. "It's hard out here for a platinum pimp!" she wrote in a social media caption. "Thank you @FredericMennetrier for touching up my blonde!" Per usual, the style icon made sure to wear a full face of makeup and false eyelashes before taking a selfie.

The 34-year-old bottle blond decided to ditch her darker 'do prior to kicking off Paris Fashion Week. "I've always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I've been waiting a long time to try the look," she told People Saturday. "I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week." Still, the E! reality star insisted, "It was really a last minute decision."

On Friday, Kardashian referenced Madonna in an Instagram caption, writing, "#BlondeAmbition." The hashtag was a throwback to the Material Girl's Blond Ambition World Tour, which took place in 1990.

Celebrity colorist Lorri Goddard is responsible for Kardashian's brunette-to-blond transformation. Go-to hairstylist Gregory Russell, meanwhile, gave his client an angled bob after her arrival in Paris. "She's always wanted to try platinum and this seemed to be great timing," he explained to E! News last week.

Kardashian has yet to reveal why she turned her bleach blond tresses white. Could more changes be in store? "I think it would be really fun to try that short turquoise hair that [Kylie Jenner] has," she teased. In October 2014, Kardashian's 17-year-old sister unveiled her line of hair extensions, Kylie Hair Kouture. The 20 inch clip-ins come in ash blonde teal ombre, jet black, chestnut brown and many other varieties.

In November 2014, Kardashian talked about her sister's makeover. "I gave Kylie such s--t for dying her hair blue, especially at the time of my wedding, and I was so upset and I thought, 'She's going to ruin everything!' I didn't understand it. Looking back, I loved it and even towards the end I really started to love it. So if it was short, and how Kylie did it, I think I would. I'm not saying I will, but...I would be into it," she told Glamour U.K. Asked if she would ever get a pixie cut, she replied, "I think I would. You know, I have before, and I didn't really love it, and it was in high school. I think we spend so much time and so much energy taking our Hairfinity pills, to grow our hair long, I don't think I would cut it anytime soon."
