Carly Rae Jepsen Releases "I Really Like You"

Carly Rae Jepsen is no one-hit-wonder!

Three years after the singer shot to superstardom with "Call Me Maybe," Jepsen returned to the music scene yesterday when she released the first single from her upcoming third album, "I Really Like You." It shot to the top of the iTunes charts, and Jepsen performed the song on Good Morning America Monday.

Per Jepsen's Instagram, the music video is "coming soon" and will feature Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber cameos! "It's a great combo!" she said on Good Morning America. "We loved the idea of Tom Hanks taking over for our video. Justin was in town and was like, 'I was going to come down.' I was like, 'All right! The more the merrier!'" As for Hanks' volunteering for the video, Jepsen said, "It's a long story!"

The 29-year-old pop star has been teasing her comeback for quite some time, and on Feb. 25, Jepsen updated her website with a special message for fans. "Dear Lovelies, it's been an incredible 2 years. 3 years? Geeze--time flies. I've been hiding in forests where one meets a prince and dances till midnight. I've been cocooned in my Soho apartment, sipping tea with artists so weird and wonderful that only New York could keep them happy. I have been hiking to the tippy tops of LA peaks where I've said this out loud to no one...I'm ready. (Imagine the Muddy Waters song playing in my headphones.) I have been quietly so alive and now at long last I am ready to share my heart about it," Jepsen wrote. "The first single is called 'I Really Like You' and I I do--really really really really really really like you that is."

"Your support as my fans and friends has been everything," she added. "So here goes...XO, Carly."

After the release of 2012's Kiss, which also spawned the singles "This Kiss" and "Tonight I'm Getting Over You," Jepsen toured with Justin Bieber and made her Broadway debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. Her currently untitled album will be released this summer. The "Good Time" singer worked with Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Ariel Rechtshaid, Tegan and Sara and more on the forthcoming LP.
