The Osbournes Returning to MTV, Sharon Osbourne Reveals
Sharon Osbourne revealed on The Talk Tuesday that The Osbournes, the iconic reality TV show starring her family, will be returning to MTV. Sharon, husband Ozzy Osbourne, son Jack Osbourne and daughter Kelly Osbourne will all return to the series, which is hoping to start filming in early 2015.
But Sharon isn't considering the family's TV comeback a "proper series," as she referred to it as an "update."
"At most, there will only be six to eight episodes and a catch-up on our lives and where we are now, because it's been so long since we've been seen as a family and our family has grown," she said. "We have a granddaughter and a gorgeous daughter-in-law."
The Osbournes, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality TV Program, ran from 2002 to 2005, and focused on the rock royalty fam's daily lives. (Daughter Aimee decided not to take part in the series.)
So why is the Black Sabbath singer and his family returning to reality TV after almost a decade off the air? It was Ozzy's decision, Sharon revealed.
"It was all my husband's doing," she told her co-hosts. "He looked back on his life and he said, 'I wish we could have done The Osbournes now where I'm clean and sober.'"
