Katy Perry Talks Taylor Swift Feud in Billboard, Warns People Will Hear About Anyone Trying to Defame Her Character

You'll definitely hear her "Roar."

Two of pop's biggest princesses came to a head in 2014 when they both went after each other in magazine profiles and on Twitter. That's right, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are apparently "straight-up" enemies, at least according to Swift, and continue to be so to this day.

The "Roar" singer covers Billboard magazine and opens up about everything from performing at Sunday's Super Bowl to her intense feud with the "Shake It Off" songstress. Although the fight reached its peak when Perry tweeted, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing," in response to Swift claiming Perry is her "straight-up enemy" after allegedly trying to "sabotage" her arena tour.

Although it seems like things have quelled between the two pop stars--at least on the social media front--Perry tells the magazine that she will always protect herself and her reputation.

"If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it," she says of her feud with T.Swift.

But that is all she says of it.

There is no doubt that the pop star world is filled with competition and feuds. Whether it's Lady Gaga vs. Madonna or Gaga vs. Perry, there is always something worth fighting for, but the "California Gurls" singer seems to have it all under control. She does admit, however, that she is definitely feeling the jitters ahead of her Halftime performance.

"Everyone has been asking me if I'm going to be nervous before the halftime show," she dishes. "I'm like, 'I'm...human. This is the biggest event of my career.'"

Although she is 108 shows into her Prismatic Tour, the pressure is on for this weekend as it will be the "widest audience ever," she says.

"I want the show to be quintessential Katy. It's like the exclamation point on the whole last cycle," she tells the mag. "This is the cherry on top to everything I've already done."

She admits to having reached out to Bruno Mars, who performed at last year's Bowl. Any little bit helps when it comes to taking on the big game.

"I'm going to meet up with him and he'll tell me whatever there is to tell," Perry tells Billboard. "Although I don't know how much there really is.

"You can't control other people, and hopefully they're on the same path with you," she adds. "My special guests don't have any agenda other than the music. But you can never be too sure."

Katy has already revealed that legendary Lenny Kravitz will take the stage with her, and some believe that Missy Elliot could be another surprise performer.
