Selena Gomez Spotted Backstage at One Direction's Final X-Factor U.K. Performance as Group Prepares for Hiatus

As rumors continue to surround the pair about their relationship status, the "Come and Get It" singer further fueled romance rumors when several social media users spotted the beauty hanging out backstage at the X-Factor U.K. finale.

Wearing a green jacket with a tank-top underneath, the former Disney star was snapped mingling with fans and even a few of Niall's friends.

For the record, Gomez has assured fans that she is just friends with the One Direction singer. Niall, however, has not commented.

Putting backstage guests aside, the X-Factor U.K.'s finale featured a special performance from the guys of 1D who first got their start on the show.

Mentor Simon Cowell was on-hand to share a few words with Harry Styles and the guys before they performed "Infinity" and "History" to a packed house at Wembley Stadium.

"Well, this takes me back five years ago when I met five guys singing as solo artists," he told the crowd. "I never could have predicted what happened next."

Cowell then introduced a video that featured farewell messages from David Beckham, Danny Devito, James Corden, 5 Seconds of Summer and Little Mix.

"Enjoy the time off, have a fantastic time. The thing I'm probably most proud of is who you've all become," Cowell shared in the video. "I'll always be there."

Before Directioners get too emotional, the boys continue to promise fans that they will be back for more once their hiatus is over. After all, the guys just want to spend some time at home.

"To you, you have changed our lives and no words will ever be good enough to thank you for what we have done together," Harry wrote on Twitter after the show. "You are the greatest team mates we have ever known. Thank you."
