Real Housewives of Atlanta Star NeNe Leakes Says She'd Visit Teresa Giudice in Prison, But Would Andy Cohen?

Just because NeNe Leakes is centered in Atlanta, that doesn't mean she isn't aware of her fellow Real Housewives struggles in neighboring cities.

After the season premiere of the Real Housewives of Atlanta aired, Leakes payed a visit to Watch What Happens Live to talk about her co-stars as well as close friend Teresa Giudice.

As it turns out, the Georgia peach is closer to Giudice than fans may have realized.

"Teresa and I have had lots of conversations. We talk a lot," she told Andy Cohen Sunday night. "We've talked and I feel bad for her as well. When Teresa calls me, I feel like she knows she's going to get true advice."

Their connection is so strong that Leakes admitted that she would absolutely visit the Real Housewives of New Jersey star when she begins her prison sentence next year.

"I've done everything I can do for her and I hope she comes to see [my Broadway] show with her girls and have a drink with her before she goes," Leakes shared. "I would even visit her. I really would."

In a sudden turn of events, the feisty housewife turned the question on Cohen by asking if he would pay a visit to prison. Although he appeared a bit flustered, the late-night host shared his openness to the idea.

"Umm, yah. Sure I would," Cohen admitted.  "Yes, she's going to be in Connecticut. Sure I would if she wanted to see me."

In October, Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. She is expected to surrender at Danbury prison--the same prison that inspired the popular Netflix series Orange Is the New Black--on or before January 5, 2015.

Unfortunately, Giudice isn't the only Real Housewives star in real trouble with the law.

On Sunday's RHOA premiere, cameras rolled as Phaedra Parks' husband Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison for bank fraud. When asked about their situation, Leakes couldn't help but feel bad.

"It's just really sad. All I could do is pray for them," she told Cohen. "I feel bad for her but I like Apollo so I feel bad for him too."

She added, "I try to give Phaedra the truest advice I can give her. The things I say to her are just live your life, be true to who you are. It's all you can do in a situation like this. People are going to judge you regardless."
