Nick Cannon Says He Is Celibate and Single, Would Like to Finally Meet Mariah Carey's Boyfriend James Packer

For better or worse, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey will always be in each other's lives. The exes reunited over Thanksgiving for the sake of their 4-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. As Chi-Raq star Cannon explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday, "That's a family time and we'll always be family."

Cannon explained that the shared holiday "was such a beautiful experience."

"We make the kids the No. 1 priority," he added.

Ellen DeGeneres commended her guest, telling him, "It just is so important when, if a marriage does not work out and you have kids, to show them love and not have somebody talking badly about the other person. It's great." The actor/host agreed with the comedienne. "It's all about unconditional love...They know Mommy and Daddy still love each other," he said, "but more importantly they love us."

Asked if he's met Carey's billionaire boyfriend James Packer, Cannon laughed and replied, "I haven't." Not that he's opposed to it. "I want to," Cannon insisted. "I think that would be cool...We've all talked about it and stuff it seems like it's cool."


DeGeneres asked Cannon if he as a girlfriend, but he said no.

"I'm not ready for all that," the America's Got Talent host explained.

"Yes, you are," DeGeneres replied.

"I'm not," Cannon insisted. "You going to hook me up with somebody, Ellen?"

DeGeneres assumed that he "must be dating a lot of girls," but he wouldn't label it as such. "I wouldn't say dating. I mean, I have friends and we hang out, but I'm not ready to do anything seriously, especially because I'm really trying to make sure I can establish being in my kids life and working," Cannon said. "I'm always so busy so if I'm not working they're my No. 1 priority."

"So, just booty calls is what you're saying?" DeGeneres teased.

"No!" he said. "I'm being celibate I'm trying to work on myself. No sex right now."

Netflix Pumps Brakes on Will Smith Action Film ‘Fast and Loose’

  Netflix has slowed development on its upcoming action-thriller “Fast and Loose” which Will Smith has been attached to star in. The project has been moved to the streamer’s back burner in the days following the 2022 Oscars ceremony, during which Smith walked onstage and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about the appearance of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. In the week before the Oscars ceremony, director David Leitch reportedly also pulled away from the project, electing to move to the Ryan Gosling vehicle “Fall Guy” for Universal. After beginning to search for a new director, Netflix has now halted “Fast and Loose” in the days following the Oscars.
