Ryan Reynolds Sets the Record Straight on Baby Daughter's Name

Ryan Reynolds is finally giving us some answers on the great mystery that is his baby girl's name.

The actor and Blake Lively welcomed their first child together in early January, but the pair held back on revealing their daughter's moniker. Regardless, many speculated as to what it could be, and some reports even claimed to have learned that the Hollywood pair chose to name her Violet.

Well, we finally know the truth, thanks to Reynolds, and that is not her name.

"No that's not the name," the star told USA Today during an interview about his new horror-comedy The Voices today. "I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from."

Unfortunately, the famous dad didn't reveal what his daughter's name actually is, but at least we have one possible crossed off the list.

We just hope he didn't end up going with that wacky name he mentioned back in October. "I don't want a name that's anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y," Reynolds spilled to Canada's eTalk. "So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds...that's if it's a girl."

Although, if that is her name, we love her all the same.

The proud first-time father also talked to E! News' Jesse Giddings recently at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival premiere of Mississippi Grind, gushing that being a dad is "amazing!"

"The best thing about it--well, everything's great about it," he said of parenthood. "The least impressive thing is the complete lack of sleep." She has him wrapped around her little finger, he confirmed, adding with a laugh, "That started well before she was born!
