Pharrell Williams Shares the Real Reason Why He's Always Around Women: "I Want to Be With Sensitive People"

Pharrell Williams is not afraid to admit one thing: He likes to be around women.

But before you assume the talented musician and hitmaker is just another player or womanizer, his latest GQ interview proves the complete opposite.

As it turns out, The Voice mentor likes a certain trait women just so happen to possess more than guys.

"I am a sensitive person, so I want to be with sensitive people," he shared in the February issue available nationwide Jan. 27. "Women have a way of expressing themselves that I can relate to more honestly."

In addition to his wife, Helen Lasichanh, who is his frequent red carpet date, Williams also has a female art director, choreographer and two assistants. Is it too much to proclaim girl power?

But as fans of the "Happy" singer know, Williams isn't exactly known for following everyone else. Instead, he's all about starting new and unique trends and sounds.

"You want to be camouflage?" he asks the magazine. "Go ahead. Blend in. But we want to be that twinkle in the sky. And you might not be able to see that star now. But it's daytime. Wait till it gets dark."

In the months to come, Williams will bring new stars to life as he returns to The Voice for a brand new season. Joined by Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera, the lovable coach has high hopes that he can discover and mentor special talent.

Plus, he'll be teaming up with close friend Gwen Stefani with a hot new track for the Paddington film soundtrack. Another collaboration with a fantastic lady? Can't say we're surprised.
