Lena Dunham Pays Tribute to Beyoncé on New Year's Eve, Fans Praise Her "Skinny" Look--See the Pic!

Lena Dunham would like to wish you a "very Beyoncé new year."

The 28-year-old creator, writer and star of HBO's Girls paid tribute to Bey on Wednesday, New Year's Eve, with an Instagram photo showing her wearing a similar outfit to the one the singer sports in her hit video "7/11."

Dunham is wearing a light gray sweatshirt that reads "Kale" (get one on Etsy!) paired with what appear to be darker gray, skintight cropped leggings covered in part by over-the-knee navy socks, plus white sneakers.

"Have a very Beyoncé new year! #2015 #kale," Dunham wrote.

It is unclear when her photo was taken. Many of her Instagram followers praised her look, saying they have the same sweatshirt, and several also speculated that she may have dropped several pounds.

"You lost weight," one Instagram follower wrote, alongside emojis of hands clapping.

"She got so skinny!!!!!" another wrote.

Many followers made identical comments.

"How did you do it?!" someone asked. "I want in!"

"You look great, although I thought you looked amazing before," another person wrote. "I appreciate you being comfortable with your body. Happy New Year!"

Dunham has said her weight has fluctuated throughout her life and talks about body image and dieting in her memoir, Not that Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She's "Learned," which was released in September.

The actress often appears naked as Hannah on Girls, which returns for season four on Jan. 11, and showcased her swimsuit body this past summer with a video showing her undergoing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

In the "7/11" video,  Beyoncé, 33, is seen dancing in several outfits, including one made up of a navy sweatshirt that reads "Kale," a pair of leopard-print underwear and dark Nike knee pads.

Dunham has often paid tribute to the singer on social media.

In February 2013, after the singer performed at the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show, the actress tweeted, "I watched Beyoncé Bowl and think we should put a picture of her at the top of the Wikipedia page for 'women.'"

In August 2013, after Bey debuted a new pixie cut, Dunham, who sported a short, brunette bob at the time, tweeted, "I feel like Beyoncé is having a very different experience of short hair than I am #bowdown."

In January, after Bey gave a jaw-dropping, sexy performance of "Drunk in Love" with husband Jay Z at the 2014 Grammys, Dunham tweeted, "HOLY S--T BEYONCE you aren't even a woman anymore you are the world and you are the lord."

"When Beyoncé giggles un-selfconsiously in front of the whole music industry it's pretty clear she's surpassed the earthly plane," the actress added.
