Kelly Clarkson Reveals New Album and Tour Is Coming Soon, Reminds Fans She Needed Time With Her Baby

PSA: New Kelly Clarkson music is coming!

That's what the American Idol winner promised Saturday morning in a series of tweets to fans wondering about their beloved pop star's upcoming album.

Although the singer released a Christmas disc in 2013, fans have waited more than three years for an album filled with all new songs. So, are we getting any closer to some fresh tunes? You better believe it!

"People keep asking. My next album is pop," she revealed on Twitter. "But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop-rock/country/r&b/dance #whoknowswhatsnext."

She added, "2 clues for the first single...Proof of life & Dr. Dre #TheNextEpisode."

This sounds great, right? But we still need a date. Well, we sort of got that too.

When a fan asked if Clarkson will release her single this month, she replied, "Yes :)" When another follower asked for any release dates including a tour, Clarkson teased for "summer 2015."

It may not be much, but this is serious progress people! Besides, we can't be mad at the "Since You've Been Gone" singer. After all, she did give birth last year. "I had a baby ha!" she reminded one Twitter follower. "That takes time :)"

As for all those rumors that she will have a duet on her new album, that's also accurate. And believe it or not, the other singer may be more than just a little familiar.

"Here's a hint," she tweeted. "This wasn't our first time to sing together ;)"

From Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean to Reba McEntire and Martina McBride, the possibilities are endless. We can't wait to find out!
