Prince Harry Is a Ruggedly Hot Cover Model, Admits Infamous Vegas Trip Was Him Being "Too Much Army, Not Enough Prince"

Man of the World, indeed.

Though Prince Harry would star on glossy covers every month if it were actually up to the world, issue No. 10 of Man of the World marks the royal's first U.S. menswear magazine cover--and he doesn't disappoint.

Alas, he didn't actually pose anew for the publication. But the mag's three Harry covers, including one particularly handsome 'n' rugged close-up, feature photographs taken by Robert Wilson during his December 2013 trek to the South Pole for Walking With the Wounded (and we've got an exclusive sneak peek at four pics right here!). Of course they all fit the bill to illustrate the Tom Sykes-penned profile focusing on Harry's ongoing commitment to his nation's troops and veterans who risked their lives serving on behalf of Britain around the world.

But it's not as though he didn't answer any personal questions...

Asked about his infamous trip to Las Vegas in August 2012, during which he memorably played naked billiards with a co-ed crowd in his hotel suite, Prince William's little brother admitted via remarks released on his behalf by the palace, "It was probably a classic case of me being too much army and not enough prince. It's a simple case of that."

That minor international incident long behind him, Harry devotes much of his more princely, mature energy these days to supporting his fellow military men.

"To see young lads--much younger than me--wrapped in plastic and missing limbs with hundreds of tubes coming out of them was something I never prepared myself for," he recalled his first tour in Afghanistan, with the Household Cavalry Regiment of the British Army in 2007. He had to leave, for safety reasons, after 77 days once his location was revealed by a tabloid, but returned for a 20-week deployment in 2012-2013 with the Army Air Corps.

He started his second tour not long after the Vegas trip and, even though he had been to Afghanistan before, he was no less appalled by the military and civilian casualities.

"I saw some horrendous things," Harry said. "The tragic injuries and deaths of local people from roadside bombs, some of whom were children; coalition forces lying on the battlefield."

A confidant of the prince's also told Man of the World: "Supporting wounded servicemen and women has become one of the defining aspects of Prince Harry's professional life over the past few years. He has a genuine compassion and understanding of the issues at hand, drawn from his own very personal experiences."

And Harry is free to share his experiences, wisdom, reflections and any other darn anecdote he wants on these shores any time. MOTW #10 is on sale Dec. 3.
