Guess What Barack Obama Considers His Favorite Movie of the Year!

Now that award season is upon us, many people are weighing in on what their favorite movies of the year were! Despite being a very busy man, Barack Obama was able to take in a movie or two and weighed in on the tough competition during an interview with People (with a preview provided by Politico's Playbook).

Drumroll please...

The president's pick? Boyhood!

"Boyhood was a great movie," he tells the magazine. "That, I think, was my favorite movie this year."

But his wife, Michelle Obama, didn't agree with his pick. The First Lady wasn't as excited about this year's film options, but was able to come up with one. But she added an asterisk to her selection.

"I've read others [since, but] I read Gone Girl a couple summers ago, which is one of my favorites. The book is much better than the movie."

Netflix Pumps Brakes on Will Smith Action Film ‘Fast and Loose’

  Netflix has slowed development on its upcoming action-thriller “Fast and Loose” which Will Smith has been attached to star in. The project has been moved to the streamer’s back burner in the days following the 2022 Oscars ceremony, during which Smith walked onstage and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about the appearance of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. In the week before the Oscars ceremony, director David Leitch reportedly also pulled away from the project, electing to move to the Ryan Gosling vehicle “Fall Guy” for Universal. After beginning to search for a new director, Netflix has now halted “Fast and Loose” in the days following the Oscars. It remains uncertain whether Netflix will return to developing “Fast and Loose” and, if so, whether the streamer would seek a new star for the project.  The story of “Fast and Loose” would follow a criminal who loses his memory after an attack.
