Shailene Woodley Talks Suitcase Living, Receives Funny Gift From Ellen DeGeneres

Shailene Woodley isn't the materialistic type.

In fact, the 22-year-old actress is quite proud about the fact that she can fit all of her belongings into a single suitcase! On Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Shailene explained to the daytime TV host why she packs light and chooses to live out of her "really progressive carry-on!"

This suitcase, Shailene admitted, is one "that I stole from my mom's house," and it's super-mobile "because it has four wheels that roll in every direction."

"I feel like I'm so young right now," said the Divergent star. "This is the time to travel and experience new things!"

The Fault in Our Stars actress counts Los Angeles "as my hub, because my family's here," she said, but she's not willing to "buy a house" now, as Ellen DeGeneres suggests. The reason? "I don't know where I wanna live," she said with a laugh.

The former Secret Life of the American Teenager star doesn't want to commit to a full-size suitcase either, which she'd have to check underneath the plane when she travels. "Because if everything I own is in a suitcase, and that suitcase gets lost," she reasoned, "then I would just be stranded with no clothes!"

"But," Ellen pointed out, "You'd be out like $75"--and let's be honest, when you play a young adult heroine in Hollywood, that's not even pocket change!
